White Clam

Anyone have a clam with an over all white color?


Not bleached, but actually white pigmented?

the closes i have seen is a derasa that is at Atlantis Marine World in Riverhead NY, is so heavyly striated with white lines that is hard to tell the pattern if not very closely looked at.

Well, I just picked up a nice little Maxima from ORA. It is overall white color.

That is not white, those are just areas where the mantle fully extends and there is no Zooanthellaes, very common in Gigas.

My camera went dead last night. I will get pics asap. The clam I have is very white, but not bleached. It blends in with the sand very well.
