White/Clear Frogspawn?

Anyone ever see this variant? I thought it was cool looking and picked it up this past weekend. LOVE LPS! :bounce2::bounce1::bounce3:

Hmm... Never seen a white frogspawn before.... Are you sure it wasn't bleached? Maybe it was in a dark place and lost all of its zooxanthellae?

+1, looks a bit bleached to me, will probably color in a nice green though

+1 yeah a lot of places will keep them in the dark and sell them as "white" kind of like the anemones. Hopefully this guy will color up for you! Looks nice and bushy!

I've seen some clear ones with a hint of green but never that white.

Looks bleached, with a hint of brown. I'd target feed them just in case.

Sadly, I agree, probably bleached by the look of things, feed some meaty foods to keep him going until the symbiotic algea recovers.

Definitely a bleached coral. Make sure you keep your magnesium up and it will get its' color back overtime.

Buying "white" corals is never a good idea. White means no algae and that is never good.

Hmmmm. Had no idea. Thanks for the tips guys. I will start spot feeding him some mysis this weekend and hopefully see some color come back.

Bleached... target feeding necessary. start looking out for bleached anemones and lps at your lfs. these animals are unhealthy. unless you like playing nurse everytime you go to the store, I'd say stay away.

Yeah, I target fed some brine today. W/C tomorrow, and I'll target feed again on Sunday. It appears to be doing fine... It's inflating more and more it seems.

Target feeding isn't "necessary", but it will help it recover quicker if it's accepting foods. I'd stick to things like small mysis and small pellets.
