White hermit crab

I found this white hermit crab at my LFS. Is this an albino, freak, or different species?

Nope, looks like a Mexican Red-Leg Hermit Crab, the name is misleading but that's what they are. That is unless it's a pretty big guy, how big would you say he is? Or atleast how big his shell is.

Very small, about the size of the average scarlet hermit in my tank.

Definitely not a mexican reg-leg, then. This one is all white (ecru?) with a smoother looking shell. It looks just like a white version of a scarlet hermit.

Strange! Because I have hermits that look just like that guy. Does that guy happen to have blue eyes?

There are hundreds of species of hermits and dealers don't always get the names right on the stuff they send out.

Yeah there's a ton of different crabs, most are carnivorous.

Guys, i belive its a White Leg Hermit Crab. U can c them on Reefscavengers.com < good place to get ur stuff. Shippings only 8 $.
They eat all my algea like crazy.... hope that helps
