Can anyone help me ID this? I seem to have white particles all over my rocks, iv been out of town a few days so I cant say how long exactly they have been there...

Some info... I do run Bio Pellets, Drip Kalk and Dose Randys 2 Pt #1 Recipe

You can see in the Two pictures attached white specs all over the rockwork they blow off easily im wondering if its bad or not...

I did have my return pump shut down on me Sat evening about 8pm and it was not restarted until Sunday evening about 2am when i returned home... The tank still had 2 Vortechs supplying water movement and I have not noticed any loss of life.

You know the thought crossed my mind but it's everywhere even up high but many that's all it is.

Do you blow your rocks clean with your turkey baster ?? Maybe its detritus ?
What about talking a toothbrush to the rock ? It looks like dirt to me maybe not
Also give it a little feel. See what it feels like if it does not blow of. Maybe its slimy I dunno.

I don't have gobies in my tank, but sand particles still find their way on top of my rocks like that. My clownfish sometimes slap their tail against the substrate to kick off a dust storm. Also my Nassarius snails sometimes have sand sticking to their slimy tails when they move around.

Same spots on some of my rock as well. It doesnt blow or wipe off easily. Its definitely some kind of build-up.
