Ummmm.... maybe for corals or people with compromised immune systems. However the beach is my playground, and I get cuts/scrapes all the time with no infections. Don't worry the beach is safe, I promise. Just don't litter.... I hate going for a surf after a busy weekend and seeing trash everywhere it breeds contempt in the little tuberider.
