White sebae anemone with purple ending

I read that if my sebae anemone is white it is not a good sign. Is that true?
I got it like that yesterday from the store.

As well I am a beginner and have just 130 watt of light in a 40 gal tank (30" long 13 deep and 24" high)
I have as well a long tentacle anemone. Do you think those 2 anemone have any chance to survive in my tank?
PS: I gave them some raw shrimp and they eat fine.

Anemones use light for food if they have zooxanthellae. If they are white or loosing color it's the zooxanthellae leaving (or has already left) their systems. This can apparently happen when they're stressed or kept under insufficient lighting. When they loose zooxanthellae you need to target feed them for them to survive. If given sufficient lighting they will regain zooxanthellae. Food should be smaller than the anemones mouth opening. If they're feeding then that's a good sign. I've read people have had success under T5s and VHO output lighting. Do some research on your lighting and determine if your light is sufficient over the long term. Sometimes they do okay for a while but lack of sufficient lighting will mean you will have to always target feed, and even then I don't know about the long term success.

Mine was the same color when I bought it. I had to do exactly what sjwitt recommended. I target fed it brine shrimp from a turkey baster every other day. Then after a while the pink skunk clown that took it over brings it food when I feed it. It's been 6 months and it's starting to get it's normal color back. He found a happy spot on my sand bottom at the edge of a rock and that's where he's been since I put him in the tank.

There were many days he looked pretty bad and I came close to flushing him a dozen times. "Give him one more day" I'd tell myself.

I keep him under a 4x54 T5 with 2 10ks and 2 actinics and he's on the bottom of a 72 gallon bowfront.

I bought a sebea over a year ago that was about 2 inches across and about as white as they can get. He actually latched onto the store clerks arm when I happened to be in there buying something and I felt kinda bad for the little guy and bought him. I started out squirting those little gel fish food packs that used to come free in the buckets of salt at him then eventually switched to krill tails I'd mash up real good between my fingers. After 3 or 4 months he started to get what looked like brown mold spots all over his foot/stalk, which eventually spread and he finally got his leathery brown color back. After 5-6 months he got greenish dots on his tenticles and now a year later he's prolly 10 or 11 inches across and a pretty greenish/brown color.

Mine is under a 250 watt hqi, not sure how well they fair under less.
