white strings from my SPS?

Well thats nice flow you have ..
How long has the frag been in the system and how much PAR is it in ? I am sure you already know these but stress can happen not only from chemistry but light or if you have a nipper like angels ..

Well I would just leave it as it is and make sure nothing touches it or not even allow oils from my hands to enter the water and keep observing it.
If it doesn't STN, think you will be good . Let it ride its own battle .. Thats what Adam from Battlecorals told me :D

Regards,
Abhishek

I think that may also be one of the main causes, my emperor angel never nipped before but i have noticed him nipping every once in awhile on my SPS. he is my favorite fish but i may need to rehome him if i see any serious damage. for par, i never measured it by i have a 8x80w ati fixture with 4 blue plus and 4 coral plus so i assume my par is plenty.

frag has been in the system from the beginning like 7 months, however i just moved this system 6 weeks ago and everything took a big hit there but most have recovered

this is what i am going to do, just try to keep it stable and go from there. if they happen to stn then its a bummer but it is only 2 frags out of a whole tank full. i am just really hoping I dont have aefw and this is some sign of it on these two corals, even though i think it would be more bite marks and not just the filaments

If you had aefw you'd see bite marks. Bite marks are easiest to see at night with a flashlight. Been there, done that.

yeah i inspected last night and this morning and there are no bite marks or even STN "knock on wood" i am just concerned because i thought i saw it on one of my other corals but I think it is just normal STN as when i did a dip no AEFW came off.
