White stuff floating around!

My 1st shipment has settled down, it looks very nice, but yesterday sometime, something must have exploded or died or just came apart, I have no clue, everything else looks so healthy, but now I have little white things that are floating all over the place, should I scoop them out?or what?

I tested my pH this morning, my gf says it was 8.1, but to me it was def. 8.2...should i be worried???

and I know the tank has cycled when nitrites,ates,and ammonia are all 0 right?

can anyone recommend a good 'food' to feed the rock?I have an oyster or clam type thing and some more mollusk type things that move, it's pretty cool...

my LFS sucks, so I'll probably have to buy the food online...that is possible right?

ps, I also have on two rocks, this slightly puffy white stuff, just wondering is that okay?I'll get a pic up if yall want one, and where people put the rock down on the sand, does the living materials on that side die?

Probably a mollusk or worm decided to, umm, do #2 (see Daddy Day Care if you dare...)

You know it's cycled when ammonia and nitrites have dropped to zero. Not nitrates.

DT's or other phytoplankton is fine, but don't use it until Part 2 is in and cycled. Your filter feeders will survive quite well without supplemental food while your tank is cycling.
