white stuff floating in tank and on fish

So I came home today to find little white particles in the main DT and some white spots on only the Tangs. To me they spots look like tiny whitish bubbles but the camera makes them look darker. I have attached the best picture I can take since the little buggers wont stay still for a photo op. How much trouble am I in??? On Tuesday I added a few sps frags that did not make it so all the tissue fell off, that's the only thing I can think of what the stuff floating in the water is. I also added a Phos Ban 550 for Bio peollets and another one to run carbon. Help.

Are the white particles floating around the tank or settled on the rocks/sand? I don't know what it might be (other than possibly pods or snail eggs/babies), but it isn't a disease. Ich, Velvet, etc. is invisible to the naked eye unless it's trophonts attached to the fish.

Now what's on that Regal tang is another matter. You say it's white(?), but the pic makes it look like black dots/spots/scarring. Does it look like sprinkled sugar to you, or are the spots larger than that? A closeup pic might help...

If you added a biopellets reactor somewhat recently then it could be the bacteria that comes off from the reactor usually they will get filtered out by the skimmer that's my guess if this never occurred before you got the reactor, however it could be anything from microbubbles to pods to floatings bits of dead tissues from the SPS (sorry to hear that they didn't make it). If some of those lighter colored spots that are in the picture are on the fish and not in the water column combined with it being a tang I would be putting that guy in a quarantine tank ASAP
