White stuff growing on zoa

I have some kind of white stuff growing on and around my big purple zoa community. Pics below. Anyone know what it is and what I can do about removing it? It's causing the whole back side of this bunch to stay closed.

I not sure so don't quote and I've only seen it in pictures but looks like could be zoo poxs and I think you can do a freshwater dip to get ride of them but like I said I'm not 100% sure

I thought zoa pox, from what I have seen, is just spots of white over the zoas. This is an actual growth of something white and it's covering certain heads and if you look at the second pic there's a big piece of it hanging there.

I have. There was actually a bunch of light sand-like stuff all over and in it and I blew it out (you can see it in the pics) but that stuff I'm talking about doesn't just blow off. I plan on doing a water change and may take the whole rock out and clean it out good and see if I can get this stuff off hopefully without one of them having a fit without popping.

I'm guessing Z's is zoas but P's? Paly?

Anyway, when I take it out to try to pull the stuff off, I may just do a freshwater dip just to make sure. How long is recommended?

It looks like sponge to me. Hard to tell. They can be pretty nasty. Don;t rip them off, they will spread.

I'd use a peroxide dip. Use the search engine. Something like 30 seconds of dripping on them will killing

Ok, wasn't sure if that worked on sponges. I have dipped zoas and even an acan for hair algae problems with very nice results but didn't know if it'd effect a sponge. If I rip them off, it won't be inside the tank but in the change water I take out when I do my change tomorrow.
