Those two are probably around 12" away or so.



Redsea and API tests. Both coming up zero, the vodka and GHA could explain that.

None of the algae is at their bases yet. They were added after the GHA was around. Also been manually removing around the frags.

I just downloaded that app you suggested and at 2" above the water line my phone is maxing it out at 211880? It says max reading is 60000 but mine keeps going to 211680 and freezing?

I run my Kessils with the blues at like 40-45 max, with the intensity up at like 60%. From what I have read...the whites are what really damage the SPS. Some guys run their blues at like 35%, and their intensity at like 80 with no problem.

I need to go pick up a test kit! Bleaching out more even with lowering lighting levels.

OK guys got a new Red Sea test in.

Alk = Just over 7
Mg = 1400
Calcium = 425

Thoughts?

Light intensity is usually culprit for burned tips.

Seems like when I lowered the intensity, my LPS started getting annoyed.

When I started raising intensity again, the LPS perked up and the SPS still looked terrible.

Right now the Kessils are sitting at:
Color: 50
Intensity: 62

Lps will be okay in lower. You can slowly ramp up intensity once sps recovers.

Seems like the Acros are now showing polyp extension! Nice bright green polyps are visible now

A lot of the tips were bleached a bit, but hopefully they'll start to recover now.

Still not sure what did it, maybe the lights were far too intense when I first put them in.

Good to hear. Just let it recover before you ramp up to please Lps.
