Roger - There is a new club member that spoke up at Uncle Lukes house and she has done some stuff for John.

She is interested in taking pictures for frags. She and her husband are members and her name is Elizabeth.

I can give it a shot. Can't 100% guarantee they will look perfect, but I have my girlfriends DSLR and I believe she has a macro lens, but I can confirm tonight. I've posted a few pictures to my build thread and FT thread that I took with the camera. Definitely not as nice as I've seen online, but much better than cell phone pics.

I would be happy to give it a shot Roger. I have a dslr and macro lens. I have been looking for an excuse to come and check out your system for a while and new frags are always welcome. I have a few days off this week just let me know.

Hey Roger not sure what kind of phone you have but those snap on macro lenses they make for iPhones take decent pics. Obviously having someone with a nice camera would be better but if you wanted something to have for yourself they are pretty cheap and not to bad.

I don't mind if more then 1 person wants to give it a shot. I will be home in the afternoon today, tomorrow and wed, and most weekends.

Pedro showing off :) nice corals. my cell phone does a good job too, but macro lens with high end camera is just not the same as a phone cameral.
here r a couple my phone cam shots

This is one of my corals. pic taken with a DSLR with no macro lens. a beginner with the camera too. these r just way better then any phone cam. this is the kind of stuff I'm looking for, but with macro lens

those look sexy

In the first pic, are those fruit loops or emeralds on fire?

Excellent growth on your sunny d's, you got a single polyp from me a few months ago, Nice!!

Thx they r fruit loops. yes those r the once I got from you when I accidently sold my last frag of them :(

I play with the lights both on phone and tank, often find myself juggling the position of the LED lights and T5's all while holding the phone just right above the water lol, sometimes I shade the photo sensor on the phone to remove some of the blue, haven't gotten the phone wet yet :). The phone comes with HDR along with secondary photoprocessing, it removes a lot of the blue, that is the trick. Ok no more sharing secrets.

Very cool, I wish I had the camera and expertise to do so. Congrats to whomever gets in on this deal!

I was lucky enough to be able to get by there and shoot some of his corals yesterday. My daughter and I spent about 2 hours shooting corals and we didn't get much past the first level frag rack. I think I got some pretty good shots, but I can assure you any thing you see in the photos we took looks better in person.

Thanks Roger for the frags and the opportunity to take pics of some really awesome corals.
