not a matter of hate, don't respect either one. The funny thing is in Bonds mind he thinks he tied the record.

Do I have to choose? :D maybe an option for both would be in order. And I agree I don't hate them but I can't stand either one.

true but kobe is worse because he used to be a respectable player and now he thinks he's a G. lame and barry sounds alot like the president thinking there both doing something the right way hahahahahahahaha

kobe bryant no doubt for me...i dislike berry, but im pretty sure that he's not the only guy out there now that has used sterroids.

as for kobe...he's a stinkin crybaby. Whenever he gets ANY call against him, he's all up in the reff's face, even tho he does the same things to everyone else every game, but never gets called for it...mostly stuff like elbowing and the sort.

Kobe. But that's mostly because of the Colorado thing.

Barry and Sammy I used to look up to now I just don't believe any of them.

I believe Bryant physically and psychologically hurt someone else.
Bonds hurt the game, he hurt himself, and he disappointed his fans, but he did not commit assault.

How many pitchers in MLB use steroids? I'm sure it's right up there with the batters. I had a friend who made it to AAA ball and when he hurt his shoulder he was told to do whatever was needed to get back to throwing in the 90 mph range. It's too bad that Bonds didn't just admit to using steroids years ago, when MLB didn't officially care.

ya i'm w/chetm2 on that one....you cant say that baseball players a long time ago didnt use roids. They werent illegal then...but then most people didnt really know much about em' i dont think.

and a few years ago i'm sure there were a few really good pitchers to use them just to stay healthy, as they spead up recovery time tremendously

Well I wouldn't go that far. Depends on what you mean by long time ago. I can remember when the East German women in the 70's and 80's would kick our butts every Olympics because(as we found out much later) they had better doctors. At that time our athletes weren't serious users if at all. Maybe weight power lifting.

I don't believe it was until the Iron Curtain came down that American pro sports really started taking them. You can just see the weights of NFL lineman explode, the physiques on NBA power forwards and of course the home run derbys all in the late 80's and 90's. Think back every time you would hear how someone got a new weight routine that put on 25 lbs of muscle in the off season. That's near impossible to do without chemical help.

While I am sure every position had its users I think pitching was down simply because big muscles don't work too well for pitchers. Too easy to pull and tear something. To rehab yeah most definitely. Long term users I'm not so sure. See how many pitchers today can throw 95-100 vs 30 yrs ago. Way down. I would have expected the opposite from heavy roid use.

But you know what one good side effect of roid use would be? Being able to carry 400G glass tanks in with only a couple friends.:D

kobe hands down sucks. in all aspects of the game he has set a bad example of sportmanship from the colorado hotel to his in game antic giving up and being bitter. terrible role model all around on and off court.

bonds has good composure at least. made some mistakes but was never out to hurt the sport and tries to maintain profesionlism.(at least i think o i dont watch much baseball) steroids are bad umkay...

That's a tough one. Ummmmm....can't stand both.

With Kobe... Look at the difference between when the Suns lost to the Lakers and when they lost to the Clippers. What were the Clips doing? Shaking the Suns hands, saying good series, etc. Except for former Sun Jim Jackson, Kobe and the Lakers ran straight off the court. He is a baby who does not know how to act and be civil like normal human being. Same with Bonds.....

Notice that they both grew up as Golden Boys, whose fathers were Pro Athletes. Kobe and Barry grew up in nice neighborhoods and were phenoms at a very young age. My guess is they never learned how to act and be civil to other people because they never had to. Gives some insight to why they act the way they do now. Just my 2cents.

The winner of this poll should be matched up against the president, that shrub guy. Oh wait, I often foget you Phx guys/gals are mostly republican, oops.:p :p :p
