Who do you trust most when it comes to ordering online

I spoke with Ryan (owner of BRS) at a LFS grand opening for over an hour this past Summer.

BRS very much customer serviced based. Ryan was down to earth and told all kinds of fascinating stories. when the event was over, Ryan was thoughtful enough to hunt me down in a crowded room of people to say goodbye to me. That should prove to you what kind of biz he runs.

Foster and Smith---Only salt but the free shipping on 2 or more boxs. :D
Aquacave and Marine Depot---2 or 3 orders each. No problems to complain about.
Bulk Reef Supply----Also my goto. They get around 70% of my online.
Price matching , great pricing , excellent and fast shipping. [I placed a small order last monday at 1630 EST and received it wed.]

But no hesitation to order from any of them.

I do have trouble with marine depot. The box they ship to me don't have every thing that i order. Call them two time they still not work out.
I will stick to dr foster smith fron now on

Marine Depot is my go to but that's because I live in southern California and I get my orders usually the next day. Customer service is good too. I had a package stolen from my house once and the replaced it. I like BRS too however they are on the east coast and it can take a while to get a purchase.

For Black Friday, check for threads with people giving heads up on great sales. In the past I used BRS, Premium Aquatics, Marine Depot, DrF&S and Aquarium Specialty. All the sponsor here have the potential to have a great sale. Black Friday sale is like Christmas morning for me. I start saving up months in advance. So check them all.

Getting ready for Black Friday Sales and wonder which company would you trust or not trust. Marine Depot dropped the ball on a order back in April has others had problems? Trying to save myself a headache before it happens. Going to buy PM2, Salinity Probe and Red Sea Refractmeter so have this new company ordering fear.

Companies considering:

1. Foster & Smith <--Never a problem but no black Friday deals advertised yet
2. Marine Depot <--Messed up on a order but made it right
3. Aqua Cave <--Bought only a light bulb once
4. Bulk Reef Supply <--Never bought from this company

I have had success with all of those but Marine Depot is my go to when ordering online. I can order anything and it will be here in 2 days. BRS free standard shipping 4-5 days and I'm actually closer to BRS than Marine Depot.

If I need something in a hurry Premium Aquatics is just an hour away. The downfall there is I have to pay Tax and the same with Amazon for me.

Foster & Smith I have ordered from them a couple times recently and gotten some great sales prices and they have free shipping over $19.00. They claim it's 5-9 days but it has always been 2-3 days for me.

I would skip the Red Sea Refractometer as there was a thread recently saying they aren't very reliable or good. Best idea is order a 20.00 one off Amazon or Ebay. They work very well, if you buy some calibration fluid.

BRS, Last week I ordered a couple items $40 and free 5-7 day shipping.
Foster and Smith and Marine Depot are great too.
Pet Solutions is my go to for Caribsea Substrate for my Jawfish.
