Who drills tanks locally?

Anyone know? I have a Dremel but no time to even think about it. I need two holes drilled, an inch and three eights each. Local glass shop? Fish store? Hobbyist? I need it done ASAP. Let me know.

I do, but I haven't in a while, and I probably need new bits for my dremel - not to mention I need to get a dremel w/ a cord as my battery only lasts long enough for one hole

I thought this would be right down your alley ;)

Occupation: holepuncher

LOL! Yeah but skin and glass are two different things. Plus one is my job. I think I'm going to go to Harbor Freight today and try it myself. I did a lot of research last night so we'll see.

harbor freight has a dremel kit on their website for $15 - it includes the correct diamond bits to do the job. I just ordered one for myself and got a set of 5 diamond cut-off wheels for $3 (they're on sale) total with shipping was just under $20 :)

If you want to have someone with experience around - I can supervise ;) Of course, the next time both you and I actually have some free time will probably be October

Just make sure you drip water where you're cutting (actually sanding) to keep the glass dust out of your eyes and lungs. Moving the bit up and down will help you go faster - kinda like cutting bread.

Once you try, you'll find it's way too easy

I did it! It was easy too. I already own a lithium ion Dremel so I just bought some bits from Harbor Freight and half an hour after I started I was done the two holes. I bought a diamond sanding drum set too. Man that cut the time down greatly. If I had known it was this easy I would have drilled tanks long ago. Now I might have to break down my 16 and drill it too...
