Well there you go. Who enjoys watching sps duke it out over turf wars?? Personally I find it fascinating, Darwinism at it's finest. I used to fret about the situation but anymore I smile and say "lets get ready to rumble".
I pretty much hate it as I lose a nice coral if they dont come to terms. ialawys like the nice straight line some corals make growing right up to the other one

That's what fragging shears are for. Clip 'em and hand the frags to your friends and club members. They'll thank you and you'll be backing up your corals just in case something horrible and probably unexpected happens.

I have a few corals in the corner of my tank that I can't wait to see grow out around each other. There is a pink cap a purple encrusting monti and a blue digi all next to each other, the purple encrusting got stung by the blue digi but now is starting to grow around it. I am just going to let them go at it and if something really starts killing something I might frag it and move it.
It has taken over an LPS so far, and is currently engulfing a Miami Orchid and a Monti cap (ugly brown kind, so that is a good thing). It is about 2mm from starting to fight with a green slimmer, too. Should be an interesting battle.
