These results are a bit surprising to me.
I've had two mating pair of percs in two different tanks(210/65) hosting two different anemone's(H. crispa/ BTA), yet both of the behavoiur patterns were similar but opposite to what most here have experienced.
The pair in the H. crispa(210) were babies when I purchased them together with the anemone, the female would frequently venture away from the nem(not very far though) but it was pretty much impossible to pry the little male away from it.
The other two in the BTA(65, currently moved to the 210) were aquired all at seperate times and paired on their own.
The female is almost always away from the BTA and at times during the day will venture over and host in the H.crispa, the male in this case is slightly bolder and at times will venture out but he mainly stays with the nem.
