Who has a 36inch tall tank?

So am I right. I know he does custom overflow plates like that. I placed an order with him last week. 60x30x24 external o/fs all 1" From what I have seen James does outstanding work.. I cant wait!!

He's the best maker of large tanks I've seen in 20+ years of large reefs.... I've worked with 5 different MFG's. and he's hands down the best...

I also have the pleasure of working with him in person. I live about 6 miles from his shop..

You will not be sorry for choosing the best...

Question for all 36" tall Reefs.
Now that you have a Reef that is 36" tall, would you do it again?
Considering the additional costs {more light etc. } and the PITA??? because of the height.
What are the benefits you most enjoy and the negatives you hate?
Thanx

I would not change from 36"....

I find no negatives, and the coral can grow nice and tall. The fish have more room to swim. And the 36" x 96" looks more proportional..

The one thing I have going for me is the light rack moves back off the tank. I can lay on the top, or stand in the tank if needed...

You can borrow my Yellow Tang. Sucker loves hair algae!!

Nice tanks everyone!!!

I wouldn't trade my two 36" tall tanks for anything else either. Granted, the side of my face gets wet if I need to reach the bottom but the fish really love the height. They swim in the entire tank.

I have a 120x24x36 reef, 96x24x36 predator. I already posted pics of the reef, predator just got flow going this evening. Pictures this weekend. :)

i love my tall tank wouldnt go any other way.. is a challenge to work in but well worth it... and i would need a bunch of them yellow tangs haha ;)
