I am goign to be getting two Maroon clowns and i really would like to have something for them too host. I am preferrably looking for a Green Carpet, as theyt are less expensive. I am not the biggest fan of RBTA's, i want something Big for them to get lost in (lol). I am trying to find a stopre that has some carpets or a haddonis that is fo a good size and under $80. Aqua holics has one for $65, but it is only about 5" across. Isf nyone has one or knows a store that does, or does often and for good prices, please let me kow. Thank you

Seth

hehe, the clowns he is talking about are currently hosting a pair of frilly mushrooms! I didnt see that on the chart LOL!

I have two maroon clowns and they've been in a green carpet for about 3 years now. I think Paul and Paulette will be moving to a carpet as well...they keep beating up all the Sebaes I try to put in with them. Carpets are great and they will bear the brunt of the maroons.

Marcye, do you get Green Carpets in Often? And how much do you sell them for? these are goign to be larger clowns too, 4.5" and 2", so i will need a larger anemone.

if not at SITC< are there any other places that either have them now, get them in often, or can order them? and again, for under about $80?

and according to that chart, the Maroons (spine-cheek) only will host Bulb anems...... : ( BUT these clowns will host just about anything according to the woner, so that makes it a little better....

Th only reason for me to buy a carpet would be to host anemones, and i dont want to risk it is you guys think it wouldnt.

its entirely possible you could buy the anemonie and they go for a hammer coral or something else! Of course my skunk clown will host a rbta for a while then seem to forget about it, then will "discover" it again! Funny girl that one.....

I saw a green carpet on Saturday at a store in Lake Mary. I dont remember the name of the store, but is down the street from Gander Mountain in the same shopping center as Big K.

Trident pets in palm bay gets them often, just make sure you get a haddoni (the underside will have no spots). as the others are close to impossible to keep. Make sure you have enough light. Here is the gigantea I got there 2 months ago.

I dug a hole in sand as Marcye had suggested and it
attached to the glass and hasnt moved since...It's
10-12" across the front of my 125g tank..what a great find.
Thanks Marcye...
P.S. pic taken from end of tank..

and also, do saddleback anemones host clowns?

My A. Polymnus (Black Saddleback clowns) tried to host in a big red carpet within an hour of putting the anemone in the tank after hosting in my big RBTA for over 6 months. This actually turned out to be pretty disasterous for the anemone because it didn't allow for the anem. to get situated and the clowns basically beat it to death trying to host.

Is anybody goign to be going to that store in lake mary anytime soon, and possible has paypal or something? I could probably meet in orlando somewhere after that, but i know that i am not going to be able to go to lake mary anytime soon.... or if you do go, could someone ask if they ship? Thanks
