Hey guys, was curious who has what high-end zoas & palys to trade?

Tell us what you have? I recall there were a lot of past WCR members who were huge zoa guys. Just curious what's out there. Would prefer to trade within the club than outside club.

What happened to your Rastas and Utter Chaos paly?

Rastas are a bit small at moment and not sure if they'll come back. And the utter was growing well and then I lost them a few months back. Maybe due to aiptasia or too much algae in frag tank area. That is reason to put my growout/frag tank elsewhere.

I have rastas, chaos (but they grow so damn slow in my tank), WOW, princess toad stool, valentine day massacres, red/blue hornets, blue rhino (slow grower), blue agaves then common

@justin, these are your personal stash? and wild colonies are ones you have at home? or elsewhere? Bring some cool ones to the swap or future raffles and share.

sidenote: while I like wild colonies, I dislike how there seems to be a trend for people to pass off wild zoas that they "colored up" as other things. It seems that trend occurs a lot in SF Bay Area, but maybe that's a global trend. I've heard people have gotten ripped off by thinking they were buying one thing but it wasn't really "that thing".

Does anyone know if it's because Hawaiian & Panamanian zoas are more recently imported?

Just to be clear, the above comment is not related to Justin in any way. Just seen on Craigslist and elsewhere about "newly named" or "madeup" name zoas. They look cool, but people are using high-end name variants to pass them off.

Great to know the goblins are well, how about those fruit loops?

I haven't been active with corals since those goblins. I traded and picked up, some blue horents aka black hole sun, daisy dukes (I think), and some magicians. Only thing things that i have not seen listed are cats eyes and jokers. I have had zoas blow away or melt since then. Rip paradise, clementines, and utter chaos.... And a lot of space monsters but at least I had back up frags.

There is def a big issue with the zoa name game and how it drives up the price and we don't want to open that can of worms. After all, all named zoas were wild until someone named them. There are so many zoas, many with multiple names, that people mess up ID's on stuff all the time. If you search online there are a lot of great ID forums and sites like coralpedia (or you can ask a zoa addict like me for help) In a recent trade I gave another reefer a lot of nice "named" zoas and he tried to pass off a lot of wild ones as well known "named" zoas. While the wild zoas are still nice, I felt ripped off bc his zoas didn't carry the trade and monetary value that my "named" ones carry. Now I just ask for pics before I buy or trade.

Mike, the first fruit loops I got didn't make it. But I got another set a few swaps back and they are doing well for now. I gotta make more room to put my frags and make "backups".

How come your space monsters melted? Were those the ones from me? My strain seems to be pretty resilient (at least in my tank).

Sorry to hear about that trade.

It's interesting how some ppl try to pass off similar wilds and then get bombarded by ppl disproving with coralpedia. I sometimes feel they are not paying attention to the details or trying to gain something.

I personally stay away from aogs, Armageddon, and night crawlers. They look the same to me.
