who is the bully of your tank?

IN terms of sheer size it would be always my french angel that i have had since tiny 2 inch juvenile to full grown over 18 years now but the real bully was my beloved Clown trigger which past away after 17 years with me and was likely about 25 plus years in true age ,as it never grew an inch from the time i got it.IT was the boss but it could have been a real nasty bully but it never harmed even the smallest fish in all those years, but it did chomp a newly molted cleaner shrimp in one bite

kinlayan, your french angel is simply stunning. how big is it and how long did it take to grow into full adult size?

My 8 inch Emperor. Got is as a 2.5 inch Juvi about 23 months ago. Very angry fish, and it's always grunting the blue hippo tang whenever it gets in it's way. Chases away my little flame hawk when within sight as well as my 2" coral beauty. Leaves the two clowns alone as well as the six line wrasse that inhabits the tank.

On my reef tank, an 8 inch blue hippo, chases away everything, except the big saddleback clown (about 6 inches)

Not too please with my tri-color anthias personality for the past few years and would like to get him out but do not have the heart to fish him out.

Right now my bully is te dominant pylei fairy wrasse right now. She (or he because it is changing to a male) showed off to my to be male clownfish. Kept circling it for a few minutes. This female is also harassing the second female. Eventually I have a feeling the bully will be the purple or powder blue tang. Maybe both...

My achillies is very mean to my hippo, poor hippo tries to hide in this whole in a rock and my achillies reaches in and bites his tail. I think I have to find a new home for my hippo soon.

My system is generally pretty laid back; the only fish that shows any aggression is the Coral Beauty. Even then, he only occasionally takes a run at the Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse and pretty much ignores everything else.

The Royal Gramma was a PITA, and harrased a couple of PJ Cardinals to death, but has since totally mellowed out.

Yellow Tang here as well.
He's not "Mean" but he does the "I'm going to race around the tank as fast as I can and cause all the other fish to hide" thing a few times a day.

+2. I have a large Yellow tang who thinks he is the boss of the tank. He has killed a clown tang and a copperband butterfly.

Hmmm, the bully around both of my tanks would be my wife... If we're talking fish then it would be my 9" AT in the 2 meter tank and for the SPS tank it would have to be my male C. multifasciatus. The multifasciatus is only going after his four females though as one's knocked up.

shockingly, my tank is not that bad, but my purple tang did beat on the PBT when it was introduced. In general though - they leave each other alone.

My T. lunare Wrasse is definitely tank bully. Usually just hovers near resident fish, but he tore up my Gold-stripe Maroon Clown. Which recovered from a real mauling, I'd thought I had lost him for sure. But recovered nicely.
I am keeping an eye on Mr. Lunar Wrasse. He better watch himself, lots of other fish in the Sea!

Sincerely,
Matthew

Used to be the powder brown, he bothered a 1/4inch larger swallowtail angel so much he wouldn't eat. Now I have a 1.5 inch chevron that tries to keep in check angels and wrasses twice his size. They ignore him.

Purple tang I have in qt not mean really it's just that he doesn't take crap from any one love him though and mroccoralman I have seen your tank on YouTube and I would ease off on your comments on other people tanks. I like yours though.
