I never really made my own before but desided Id try it.

I mix, 1 small can of clams, 5 large shrimp and some fake crab meat together. Its red and white and sold as crab meat but it really isnt. Some kind of fish. Anyway, I mixed all that up in a blender then scooped it out into a plastic bag. Flatend it out and froze it.

When your ready to use it just break a piece off. It stays together after it thaws and can be feed to an anemone whole or choped up and fed to anything else. Both my duncan and my anemone love it.

Anyone else have a recipe?

Basically the same for me, but I add beef heart ( for extra protein), some squid, and any other interesting items at the seafood counter.....

Just us 2 huh? I would have guessed a few more.

I like feeding my anemone the stuff I make. No bones. Not that silver sides have very many but im sure they have some.

Never thought of useing beef hearts. Next time I go shopping im going to put together a realy mixed combo of stuff.

I buy a bag of a seafood mix at the asian market. It has octo, squid, mussel, shrimp and fish, i mix in a bottle of Selcon and vita-chem, a pack of nori. blend it and freeze it.

I tried for the first time a couple weeks ago. Recipe comprised of shrimp, salmon, and Nori with alittle garlic. Blended, froze in an ice tray that makes jelly bean size cubes, and bagged. Fished loved it but I must of over blended it. When added to the tank a majority of it is very tiny, looks like commercially available coral food (i.e. Marine Snow). Hence, I'm use sparingly but I'm going to try my hand at the bender again.
