I'm looking for someone who sells Manderin Gobies that eat prepared food like frozen brine. I thought I read somewhere that Rod did but I don't see them on his site. Thanks!

Alot of times you'll see mandarins at different LFS from time to time. Like yesterday, I saw a nice fat mandarin at Reef Plus in Batavia. He probably just got him. I think Rod has had Mandarins at times. But you'd have to go there.

You just got to go around to your LFS and see what they got. You want to make sure you get one in person because you can observe it, and also see if it eats frozen.

There is a store in indiana called Aquascapes, supposedly she won't sell a dragonet thats not eating frozen already.

Its in Hobart, IN , just over the IN border

Have you tried ShoTank they always seem to have them.

Well, I can pick one up today at HappyLand, but it doesn't eat frozen. I feel that for the sake of the health of the animal I won't buy one that I'm not sure about. I have a lot of LR but it still could wipe out my pod population. I thought about just getting one anyway and feeding it Tiger Pods but at $20 a bottle that gets expensive.

I had one from Sho Tank that would not touch frozen food. Only pods. Ask Rod to order one for you that will eat his food. He's the man that I'm goin' to for my mandarin when I setup my other tank.

Mine found it way into my megflow overflow box on my tank and survived. I thought it was lost it as I didn't see for 2 months. Then I was doing some work under the tank and looked up and found him. I doesn't happen overnight. Mine didn't touch his stuff but eventually started to eat it and man does it eat it now.

Oh, I know it doesn't happen right away. Mine was just getting skinny and I got worried about keeping him alive, so Matt was nice enough to let me exchange it for another fish. But supposedly Rod can get these in and will get them to eat his food before selling 'em to ya. So that's why I am going to get one from him. Plus I need another excuse to get my butt back out to his shop and buy some of his awesome zoas :) .

Yea Matt's good like that, I only buy fish from him. His prices are hard to beat. My Manderin is going on 2 years in my tank.

Your call both places are great places to buy fish from but don't settle for anything else but Rod's food. I found similar products in freezers now a days that can't compare to Rod's food. I travel from Midway airport just for Rod's food...well I never just seem to leave with just food..strange how that works.
