Who uses ozone?

Has anybody had a problem with injecting ozone into a John Guest fitting on a AquaC EV 400 skimmer. I have been injecting for about 2 months. After 1 month the speedfit connection fell apart and about 1 month later the fitting broke.
I have tried to call AquaC but they have not returned my call.
According to their website the skimmer is ozone safe.

I was searching for more beads too because mine change color so fast in my humid basement.
I'm going to try some other type of desiccant, over half the info I found on these beads talks about how they contrain cobalt and are hazardous. The air dryer unit has a relatively small amount, but there are many other desiccants out there without the warnings.
edit: it's just the dust from the beads that you have to worry about... I guess there shouldn't be any dust in the little contrainers.

Grainger has it. Search for Silica Gel. I bought the Dessicant Dryer (#5Z611) and the 3.5 lb. box of Silica Gel (#5VD08). The Silica Gel has the color changing blue beads mixed-in whith clear ones so you know when they are exhausted. Having the extra gel around lets me change the exhausted beads out and regenerate them at my leisure. This Dessicant Dryer lasts about 7-10 days before I have to change beads. Takes about 5 minutes to change.

That was exactly the problem I had. I wanted to make a tall chamber, but I had used the desiccant dryer at work for emissions sampling equipment and found it to be very suitable for this application. Now, 7-10 days is acceptable. I even went away for a week without worry.

I have to say that this is one of the most interesting threads I have read. And after an hour I am at the 16th page. 
I bought my 200mg RS Ozone with 500g Air Drier and got it hooked up tonight at 2:20am. (I work late weird hours) After a couple hours when i went back down into my basement I noticed the skimmer producing darker thicker foam (very excited). I am running it very low on my system to start. I have a 172 bowfront with 300g (for fish, macroalgea, and more rock), and a 55g sump. I am running the unit at 13% (about 20-25mg). I know I can run more but I wanted to start slowly, I am also not useing any carbon at the output of the skimmer. I figured since the skimmer has a huge amount of contact time that I shouldnt have any problems. Any thoughts? The unit is pumping into a Aqua Medic T5000 skimmer with a TEE on the input of the venturi with a air pump pushing through the drier and unit to the skimmer.
I set my AC2 to shut off the ozone when my ORP hits my set level and turn on when drops again.
I am excited to see my tank when I get up and the lights are on. Will post again after it has had sometime to work.

From the articles that I've read by Dr. Ron Shimek, he leans toward system maintenance without the use of chemical additives in order to promote long term system health.
One could say that if ORP was low, then remove the offending/dying organisms; however, for the hobbyists that don't have as much time as they would like (me), perhaps the use of ozone is justified.
