I just noticed this section of a colony taking on more green than I ever saw on it before. Just a week or two the right side of this colony was all Brown( notice the 2 or 3 zo's on the lower row are still all brown) , I was calling it the hershey brown zoos, so at least they didn't feel left out from a pretty name. They have been in the tank for 4-6 months so I didnt know they could still morph. What are others experiences, does morphing take this long usually?
P.S. this pic was taken with just actinics on and flash, i will snap one without flash when the 150 MH comes on.
Please feel free to share your pics of similar experiences

maybe the bulbs being 6 months old, the temp rating has changed and that is what caused them to morph?

A gradual change towards improved lighting will cause the positive shift in coloration. Also feeding color enhancing commercial foods will cause an improvement. Then again, it might not be morphing at all. I picked up a pale looking creamy brown Yuma a year ago. I got it for $ 15.00. I was purely playing a hunch. Sure enough, and it took about a year, but it colored up to a banana yellow YUMA. Did it morph, NO. It was kept in poor condition with insufficient lighting. Over a years time in the best conditions conducive for growth with the proper lighting, current, nutrients and supplementation, it came back to what it originally was, a yellow yuma. This could very well be the case with your greens. You mentioned you had them for 4 to 6 months before the improvement. Maybe you simply gave them what they needed, a happy and stable environment. You dah man !!!!!

hey guys since this color change happened in the post can i ask you all a question

i have a rock that i placed 20 polyps onto awhile back (several months ago) now that piece of rock is totally covered with zoas. the wierd thing is that the zoas that i placed in there were all metalic orange in color and now the rock is cover in both orange zoas and green with purple ring zoas. how did that happen?

the zoas that i placed onto that rock came from just metallic orange zoas, this was on purpose so that i could place it in a certain place in my tank but again there are two types or colors of zoas.
