Why are so many Tail Spot Blennies on DD?

Not only do they look really cool, but they are one of those fish that seem to observe YOU as well as you observing them, so they seem somewhat intelligent.
They have great personalities, and you don't see them a whole lot, so not like the typical everyone has one fish.
What I see on DD quite often depends on the weather/water clarity in the region of collection.

ok thanks. Was wondering b/c it seems like they have had a TON in the last few months.

They're awesome. I haven't been able to keep one alive for more than 3 months though. My first one ate and ate and then got skinny skinny and died. Not sure but I think he didn't have enough veggies in his diet. My second one just went MIA last weekend after 2 weeks in my tank. It's possible that he got caught in my powerhead, but not sure. They like to get into Koralias and clean them out when they're off. I forgot to look where he was before I flipped them back on. :( He could have been gone before that, but I dunno. Only thing I can come up with, he was looking fat and happy.

Sometimes it's nice to be able to buy some inexpensive fish from DD when buying an expensive fish to get more fish without extra shipping.

they're smaller than other blennies making them harder to keep fed. they also have a harder time eating pellets like other small fish. i see them a lot locally lately. i guess they are gaining popularity.

no, starry is close to a lawnmower and those will kill other blennies. and tailspot is a small and shy blenny who would get demolished.

Definitely one of my favorite fish for reef tanks. Good herbivore, easy to feed IME, easy to keep healthy as long as not bullied, and great personality. Comical and cute.

I went on Friday to my LFS. It is the only fish I am stocking in my current tank.

They said sure we can order any fish you want.

They looked things up and told me unavailable at this time.

?

not really related, but I had a tailspot for about a year and he was very cool. One day I noticed that he had a tumor looking thing on his side. It grew and grew over the course of two months to the point that the tumor was HUGE and it died. Weirdest fish death I've had.
