first one i got jumped through the tiniest of openings on the back of the tank. then i got a trio. the male died after 4 days for no apparent reason. then 4 days after that (today) i find another one dead and half eaten at the bottom of the tank and the third one appears to be dead down on the bottom of the tank in the back, half buried in sand, all my water parameters are in line, the clowns/chalk bass/fiji devil damsel/blue gudgeons/ and presumably my sunrise pseudo (although i haven't seen the pseudo in a few days) are fine. either way, im done with trying to keep any of these stupid flasher wrasses

QT is also a much easier and quiet place to rest from the travels. They learn to eat without bullies, competitors, or mayhem. The damsel & dottyback would drive most flasher wrasse nuts. They like things peaceful. Read what LA has to say about them. I think not using a QT and not researching these fish had a lot to do with losing them. BTW, of course they're "stupid", they're fish. But not difficult if their needs are met. I would avoid fish like this until you have a QT and do some serious pre-purchasing research.

Def was not the dottyback. He's actually pretty shy. all the fish were eating fine and the damsel hadn't been paying then much attention either. I'm leaning more towards just damage and stuff from shipping. I did look into them before han. Granted i did not quarantine them, I have other fish from another tank in there ATM. lesson learned
