Why Can't I keep Scallops

I have tried keeping Electric Flame Scallops and I just can do it. I tried when my tank was 4 months old and again at 1 year 6 months.

In a nut shell...Its because they never get enuff food or the right kind...imo they should be left in the ocean

Indeed, tell us what you're providing for them. I'm not sure it's well known what they're dietary needs are, and they have a dismal survival rate.

You are not the only one.... as stated they have low survival rates.....

no problem, i wish that LFS's would stop bringing them in.

I had never heard of many people keeping them much over a year just dont know.

The guy I bought them from said he had great luck with them they live for 2 years and had them succesfully bread.

LOL..Thats holariou. I listened to him cuz I was getting my first inverts and I was beleiving him. But I guess I learn from my mistakes.

I know pros that can keep them more than a year so Yah I second that BULL SH#$
