Why did fish Die?

Last week I start a hyposalinity treatment for my QT.
Fish in Qt are 4 chromis and a 6 line wrasse.
All chromis are doing well but 6 line was very shy and didn't eat.
Well he didn't make it and wondering why.Took pictures but don't know what to think.Red and blotchy behind abdomen.
He appeared healthy last week when I purchased him.
Did he die from hypo or something else?

I don't think hypo will kill many fish; unfortunately, I don't think it always effective against ich either. I'm not that good with pics, but the bottom pic looks like skin is sloughing off?

Chromis seem to recently be coming in with Uronema. I am terrible at diagnosing from pictures, can you describe the physical behavior?

Not much to explain.
When first bought, he appeared active and curious. Two days after starting hypo,he was be hiding most of the time. Also looking like he was going to eat but didn't.Breathing seemed normal.
I've had several fish die in this tank prior to starting hypo, reasons unknown.
Tank has not been treated for anything in past.
Hoping not to break it down because it took very long to cycle.

The remaining chromis have never looked better.Afraid if I continue hypo, that velvet may still be present when complete.
Can a fish not be affected but be a carrier of this parasite?
I was hoping that hypo would have solved problems with this QT but apparently not.
I tried to avoid treating with copper but I feel its probably the only solution at this time.

While a fish can carry either oodinium or cryptocaryon and not be affected, they can still transmit to others. This immunity is rare and temporary.

If the chromis are fine I'd bet shipping stress/injury on the sixline.

Snorvich I recently had 3 GC from reefs2go, one DOA, 2 looked fine and ate. Next day one dead and one missing half tail, with red sore but still ate. next day 3rd dead. After reading a lot I think uronema for those.

what is the specific gravity of the qt and how quick did you drop it. What s.g. was the wrasse in originally. an abrasion is enough to cause electrolyte imbalances and hypo also affects electrolytes as the fish adjusts . uronema is also a consideration. Did you treat with meds. consider chloroquine instead of copper
