Why do my shrooms run away?

Where do they go when they disappear? Every single shroom I've ever had (aside from a double ric that never moved) runs away. I don't know where they go. Why would they leave? I have a 55 gal w/ 2 x 96Watt PCs & 2 x 96Watt Actinics. Surely this would be enough light. And I feed them DTs Phyto. Where do I go wrong?

I had ricordeas split off of their rock last night. I found one of the small ones along the side of the tank. I knew they were getting close to doing it. I took it out and placed it in my 10 gal (a lot less flow and probably more conducive to their needs) I dont know where they other is I spent 10 mins looking and didnt see it. Hopefully it will attach somewhere and start to grow and reproduce.

I had only had the rock for about 2 weeks, the last few days most had been opening up fully except a few which seemed to get hit with a little more flow but they were 75% open.

Im also running the same lighting on my 30

Some of mine from time to time will come off the rock and move to a shady spot, then split. I promptly take them to the LFS for trade in.

It sounds like may it is melting away. Is it there one day and completely not the next? I am not sure that mushrooms can "move" completely like a anemone can. Whenever mine have gotten crowded and moved they twist themselves off, leaving the foot behind to grow a new one later.

Mine will travel off the rock. Once the current has gotten them into a place they are sttled they will attatch to whatever they might be on.
