Why I recommend rock mounts rather than frag plugs unless...

...you have a rack to put the plugs in. You can make one out of sucker feet, glue, and a strip of plastic lighting grid.

If on the other hand, you are all rockwork, a small light rock as a mount is a lot easier to place and secure in most tanks. Small. Light. And irregular, so it has a lot of grippy points.

Also, be smarter than I was: if you have giant snails (like 2") or urchins NOTHING is going to stay put that isn't glued down, so give your big snails
or urchin a vacation in the sump, or glue the new rock to a secure location, because they will go bowling for fun, and you know they're going to knock it all into the worst possible location for retrieval.
