why is my clown fish shaking?

Only two out of three of my clownfish shake/twitch. I am not really sure, but my two clowns always shake when they are near one paticular clownfish which brought me to the idea that they are trying to impress that clownfish.

How many clownfish do you have? And when do they shake?

Its just showing that its ready for mating does it do it next to the other clown if you have one?

Well i think thats it

Its called Harlem Shake... you have it near the tv watching MTV or something? Those type of channels do big influences on fishes... my hippo tang just started krumping.

The male will "shake" to show submission to the female.

I've seen both do it. The male mostly, though. Dominance thing; totally normal.

with our maroon pair the male shakes its called a Waggle
the female doesnt However, our false percs, both do it,
its part of the mating ritual

I have mine doing it on video

I have mine doing it on video

I was just going to post this video asking the same question. They have been doing it for the last few days.

There seems to be something wrong with the video. You may need to move the playhead a few seconds in and then press play.
