Why is my Porcelain Crab cutting the arms off of my Brittle Star?

Anyone with past expirience or advice please help. My Porcelain Crab has moved into a spot in my tank where the Brittle Star has called home for some time now. When the Star's arms go near the crab, he clips them off. Now my star has stubbs on three of the five arms. Any advice?

mine did it too~!! and the crab lived on the other side of the tank too! not much u can do cept move the brittle star!

sorry i have no idea, but now i know i wont be getting a porcelain crab like i wanted too...

will the crab do the same to a linkia star?
