Why is my sand bed is hardening

Ironman,

Is the front of your tank lower in flow then the back 1/3 or 2/3? When this happened to me it was in the lowest flow areas, but slowly crept toward the higher flow areas. I didn't notice in time before it effected the majority of my substrate. Towards the end before I pulled it out I couldn't even break it apart, I was dosing Kalk at the same time this happened so I changed it out and scaled it back.

That's right, it's the front that has the lower flow and has hardened. The back is surprisingly loose as it originaly was. I guess we had the same problem.

You're right about regular season games, I thought you were talking about previous playoff games.
