Why low magnesium?

I added some calcium to my system and now my water is cloudy. Everything is fine, fish eating, corals open. If anything there might be a little less polyp extension on some sps but only some and nothing major. Also, is there any local magnesium I can add while I wait for the bulkreefsupply order to come in?

ph 8.15
alk-dkh 12
calc 360 :-(
magnesium 1050 :-(
salinity 1.025
temp 78.5

All measurements as of just a few minutes ago.

I use reef crystals and do water changes fairly often, last one a week ago around 10-15%. What gives?

seachem reef calcium. I dont think I over did it, bottle (8.5oz) still mostly full. I did a couple capfuls throughout the course of the day yesterday and 1or2 this morning. Water looked clear this morning until I dosed. I'm assuming its because the mag is so low.

Epsom Salts is easy to find locally and a quick magnesium additive. If you use a lot it will increase your salinity so watch that. Your best bet is reading up on that chemistry stuff at the chemistry section of RC there is more info in just the stickies than our whole club has combined. No offense to anyone here ;)
Almost all of the credit goes to Randy Holmes-Farley.

Zach, I have some BRS mag. if you need some. Dry or mixed. You can bring my frags over then. lol

I bought some kent mag additive. Only 16oz, probably not enough to raise the mag that much in my tank but should get me through until the BRS gets here.

Dont worry Keith, I got ya covered ;-)

BTW, thanks for offers everybody. I guess maybe I should run some carbon on my tank to clear up the water?
