It's a fine balance and everybody's tank is different.
You have biopellets- very efficient at removing nutrients. Can easily over perform.
You also have a refugium- will strip the rest.
You also run Phos remover.
I'd guess you have a big skimmer too?.
This will likely keep your water very clean. Clearly it does as your nitrate and phos are zero"¦.. but these test kits can't tell you if you have hardly a trace of nutrient or it's close to eg 1 nitrate. Both levels will read zero. There are organics test kits, which can tell you how much DOC you have, but they are difficult kits.
You have to use surrogate markers. e.g. algae on rocks, coral colours, tissue mass etc. to determine how you are running.
Your system either has loads of urchins etc to keep the rocks that clean, or your nutrients are too low to support significant algae growth. My guess is the latter, because you are running pellets"¦. How much do you run on what volume of system?. What skimmer?.
There is no harm in increasing feeding for a while. You can always cut it down again, but if your corals start colouring up within a few weeks, you will have your answer.
I found that if you start dosing too many Amino's etc, you can quickly feed cyano and it then takes ages to get rid. You have to make changes very slowly or you will quickly get lost about where your system is at.
The other thing you should check is for SPS pests as they eat away the base of SPS too.
What you must not do is make too many changes at once. Feeding more and watching your nitrate/ phos levels carefully shouldn't be too much of a problem and is reversible"¦.. You drop back to your normal level of feeding and within a few weeks, you should be back to where you are now...
