Why No Micro Bubbles wHOB Skimmers

I have heard a lot of talk here about trying to eliminate micro-bubbles with skimmers esp. those setup in a sump with the sumps needing bubble traps.

So how is the issue of micro-bubbles avoided with hang-on-the back skimmers. One obviously can't create a bubble trap the way you can in a sump.

I am thining of setting up a simple sump with just a big rubber maid tub from the local farm and feed store, but don't know how I would install baffles.

Do you have a HOB skimmer with a micro bubble problem? Usually the HOB skimmers just need some time to quite sending bubbles into the tank.

You could attach the baffles with silicone but it provide a very strong bond.

No I don't have any skimmer. My question really was, if that is the case, why can't it also be the case for in-sump skimmers, which would remove the need for adding baffles to your sump tank. Thanks.

Believe me, Micro bubbles can be a problem with HOB skimmers. You have to either cut back the pump strength or create a mini baffle by putting pieces of sponge in the outlets.
