Why won't my Candy Cane Coral open up?

It has been 4 days since I put him in the tank. I first placed him in the sand bed for 2 days. Then I placed him on top of my rocks closer to the lights then he closed up more so my last place was closer to the sand bed not not on the sand bed. He still hasn't opened up. Why won't he open up? I have 1 clown fish and 1 hammer coral. 14 gallon Biocube

Mine only opens when the lights go off. That is when I feed it. But I only have it for a couple of weeks so I do not speak with either experience nor authority. Just wanted to share my observations and maybe profit from any answer you get from an experienced reefer 😉

Mine took about two weeks before he started opening. Find a nice medium light place and leave him be for a while. Mine now poofs up during the day and sets out feelers when the lights are out. I've found that the more you move coral, the longer it takes for them to get happy once I've found the right spot. Give them closer to a week in a spot to decide if they need to move.

They usually only open at night.... give it a few days, I'm sure it will open. If it's not receding it will be fine. BTW, mine like medium light w/ medium/low flow.
