External or submersible? Return pump or closed loop or will you have both? Any other sources of circulation or turnover? Sump size and baffles or not? Overflow size and plumbing size? High head or low head? Corals and inhabitants both presently and in the future?
As you can see there are lots of things to ponder before buying a piece of equipment like a pump.
