Widespread STN...

Yep. And so far no signs of either. The little white bugs I've seen are only on the areas of exposed skeleton not on the living tissue. And they're much smaller and not red like the red bugs I've seen.

As for AEFW I haven't seen the classic signs.. like bite marks or egg masses. So I don't think this is it either.

Honestly, I would rather find a pest at this point because at least then I could say "Ah! That's what it is!" I'm thinking of disconnecting my refugium from the display tank and treating the display with interceptor just to be safe.. I hate to do it but it might be worth it. And then later hook the fuge back up to repopulate the tank.

I'm having the exact same problem on my 93 cube. I can't for the life of me figure it out. Have you seen any improvement? I thought it was the biopellets, so I took them off line. So far, no improvement. Like you, I've hacked up all of my colonies and already lost several. Sux! I'm on the verge of breaking down and starting over....

every time i had stn it was alk or aefw ..i would do like they mentioned go back to what works for you 2 part stop the gfo , keep the carbon and do the water changes and pray there are no aefw bugs ..i have heard of the white bugs and that they are just eatting the dead tissue forgot what they are called but doubt they are the reason usually with flatworms you will see patching dead spots all over not just from the bottom up so think your fix might be the alk and easily remedied I hope ..good luck seems your doing all you can they should pull through keep us posted ...
