just kidding. but the board is slow.. figured this would get some conversation going..

its friday, yahoo! hopefully getting the new tank fully setup this weekend. should be good!

Your poor wife....

Will be waiting for the questions over the weekend like, "Should my return water be spraying out of the tank?", and things like that. :D

i should think after 4 years i should be able to work thru those types of questions.. on the other hand i've decided to use penny's as my substrate.. and copper leaf to cover the back wall (internal of course)

copper plumbing on the close loop and sump return too. just to make sure everything matches nicely.

That was almost as funny as the "my wife smashed my tank with a hammer" thread from a while back!

only 4 more hours of work.. and 1 of them is lunch. this will be my first 2 day weekend in a while. already have 16 hours of OT this week. luckaly or this new tank would have to be setup Nook style.. he was nice enough to have it configured for "the Nook" reefing technique when i got it from him which was nice.

If you tape nice pictures of corals on the front glass it really helps fill in the tank well for the "air reefing" technique.

I worked in a pet store through high school and college. It's funny but not. Do you know how many very upset men have had that done to them. I've heard of many things from Hershey Quick syrup, bleach, detergent, motor oil, and your favorite beverage (beer... cans included), you name it.

It helps to prove one thing. Don’t forget to give her attention. She may get even if you don’t.

when i was in wichita at the LFS one of the employee's i happen to know was with me looking at their display tanks. all the softy's were looking bad. sure enough we saw some penny's and nickels in the bottom of the tank. he also told me about a guy they caught trying to grab a fish out of a tank and stick it into a ziplock full of water in his pocket. crazy stuff

We used to have some little thieves that used to come in carry fast food cups pretending to drink out of them. When no one was looking they would fill them with tank water and eventually net out some fish to steal. That was probably some of the most creative shop lifting I had seen.

Biggie, actually its good at getting rid of everything harmful.

Dave, i figured dinner and a movie and maybe we'll have a few drinks.

its pretty much just an upgrade of tank size. the 46 bow was way to restricting as far as shape and size. the stand was cheap and didnt have a place for a sump. so i wanted to go back to a "normal" tank. and why not go a little bigger while i'm at it. i didnt want to go to big incase i end up moving back to wichita. the only thing i'm doing different is adding my sump, closed loop, and upgrading lighting. i've always had a sump in the past and miss being able to hide my equipment. although this is my first closed loop.
