Wild Acro Colony is a Thorn in My Side!!

So I got a wild acro that I am absolutely in love with. It was all orange/golden brown with bright blue tips. I named it the Bronco Acro after the Boise State Broncos! Well I immediately noticed this baby loves HIGH flow, like being directly in front of the koralia high flow. While the gold turned into brilliant orange the blue faded away from all but the extreme tip. I thought it might be lighting so have moved it all over in search of a spot it liked better. Well one of the spots had less flow but same distance from the light as the original spot. I immediately noticed the blue return as original and I was happy but then the orange changed to brown. I thought flow might need to be better so increased the flow and the orange returned but blue went back to just the tips! I'm frustrated any ideas on finding a balance in the color? I love both colors and would love to have both colors looking great.

If you are sure that the flow and lighting are the cause of the colors shifting and you want those exact colors why not buy another power head? Put the colony at the right level for the light and then mount the new power head so that the flow is directly on it. Just a thought.

That's what the problem is both locations the light level doesnt change. Both locations are about 2 inches below the surface. I have considered dosing lugals to see if that helps make the blue more pronounced.

Sometimes too much light will give you less results. Try placing it low in the tank and in time raise it until you find the perfect spot for it. Can you post a picture of what it looks like before and after?
