I am thinking of switching out my 130watt PC fixture and using a T5 HO Quad 96 watt fixture. My question is will it be able to support my corals?
Your comments r greatly appreciated. Thanx!

I'd say if the pc fixture was doing it the t-5 should work no problem, better actually. Its a 2ft fixture with 4 bulbs right?

I think you'd be fine too. I don't think there is a 96w T5 bulb - do you mean the 60" 80W bulb? Or 4x39W?

4 x 24 watt I believe he is talking about, 24" long
I have one on my frag tank, a 20 gallon high, and it is working mint!! Actually too good I have to start all my corals on the bottom and work up because it is strong and i have a FishNeedIt t5 fixture, so nothing special! I am keeping LPS mainly with some shrooms, but on my top rack i could keep sps if i kept the tank cleaner, and did more water changes.

The tank is about a little more than a foot high I believe.
Yes it is a 4 bulb fixture. 4 x 24watt bulbs.
Thanx for your help.

I had a 4x24 on a 29 gallon and I could keep almost any thing including some low light sps. That was with a Current brand fixture, if you had a high end fixture you could keep any thing and probably have to shade some things.
