Will a flame angel and coris wrasse nip at clams

Flames are a toss up. Youll get some that are role models and some that will eat corals. I had an eibli angel that would munch any bright zoa I put in the tank,my flame that I currently have doesnt chew on any coral.

i have a yellow coris wrasse that has never bothered any corals.

IMHO it comes down to the stress levels the fish are under. Whether it comes from poor nutrition or environmental, the more stress the fish is exposed to, the more likely it is to nip.

I have 5 clams and a bonded pair of Corris wrasses. Never had any problems, but there are no sure things in saltwater fish behaviors. Corris wrasses do love to pic things clean so if your clams have anything on them you may see a wrasse around the clam but it is most likely not attacking the clam itself.
