Will a PBT get along?

My current tang residents in my 180 are: 6" hippo, 4" kole, and 4" scopas.

Any thoughts on being able to add a PBT some day?

They've been together close to 2 years.

Any thoughts on the hippo? I know they're a different "kind" of tang - but would being similar in color be an issue?

thanks!

I think it all depends on the individual PBT. Some are aggressive, some are not. Only way to answer your question is to just try one out. I've heard of them never bothering others. I have also heard of them pinning other tangs in the corner of the tank and not letting out. This incident had nothing to do with similar color either.

Since you are adding it last odds are you will be ok. May get harrassment from the others until it establishes itself. Bring home a healthy one

heh, sorry, Powder Blue Tang.

I really want to pull the trigger on one in Divers Den. That's the only place I'd get on from.

They have two there now. Both listed at 5 1/2". So it would be close in size to the hippo. Bigger than the scopas and kole.

What to do...

It will most likely receive some abuse from the tangs you have now but a 5-1/2 inch PBT should be able to hold its own.
