Will a peppermint shrimp eat pods?

I'm asking because I bought two of them, and they were, er, a bit 'small'. One got snatched up and eaten in about 3 seconds, and the other got chased into the overflow. I thought he was dead, but two weeks later my son see's him in the back. So, I get him out, and put him in my fuge. Lots of pods in there, along with lots of chaeto and a few small pieces of live rock. I was wondering if he would eat pods, or if I should actually feed him. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Yep, definitely. Any they can catch, until they're full.
