Will call pricing suggestions

I placed an order totaling $350 and decided to will call to save $8.00 on the extra heavy freight charge of a UNO Wahoo Pump (Great pump by the way). On your website you said that "Orders shipping to California must be charged sales tax based on the county's rate. If you live in California and you place your order online Marine Depot will pay your sales tax for you!" I placed an order online but when I picked up my items via will call I was charged a $25 tax. It would of been cheaper if I had the items shipped and I would saved myself a trip.

Otherwise your company has been great. Been a customer of yours for at least 8 years. I think when you first started out you had someone delivered live goods to my home in Monterey Park once before.

Thanks for the feedback. We only take will call orders via phone, and we did make an exception for you at this time. Any orders placed online and shipped inside California do receive the tax discount, where we end up paying for the tax. Orders that are picked up (will call) are all charged tax regardless of how the orders are placed. What i can do for you this time is provide you a $25 store credit for the taxes you paid. This is a one time exception and we will not be able to extend the tax free promotion for future will call orders. I'm want to extend many thanks for the service that Marine Depot provides not only before the sales has been made but afterwards as well. This small gesture you just provided me magnifys the many more sales you will receive not only from me but the referrals I make and to all the aquarists reading this forum. Keep up the extremely good work
