Will he live?

I got a male pink margin fairy wasses late friday afternoon.
today is sunday and he is still sitting on the sand, not eating
with what looks like a white film over his body.
He has been this way since I put him in the tank.
Is this a disease? His eyes are clear and bright red, he's about 5
inches long.
Please, advise me what to do.

Well...Lets hope he is just freaked out right now...many Wrasses make a mucus cocoon around them while sleeping or when extremely stressed.. My Candy Hogfish did this while in qt.
Make sure your water is okay...no ammonia and such and watch him closely for anymore signs of illness

What other fish do you have him in with? I have 8 fairy wrasses including 2 Pink margins and they all where out and about by the 2nd day at least so I'm thinking he is being harrassed by another fish. Also I found out that Super male fairy wrasses do poorly after shipping, so hopefully he pulls out of it. Good Luck.

I have not seen any of my outher fish after him, in fact they act afraid
of the new guy,
I'm afraid he might have brookella.
should I just leave him in the tank?
why, do you refer to him as a Super male?

Leave him in the tank. They spin cocoons of white stuff when stressed. He may even go hide in the rocks for days. Don't try to find him and don't move the rock, because you could accidentally seal him in.

Well I'm sorry to say he died Sunday night.
I think that I will just give up on these beautiful fish this is the 2nd
one I've lost.
The first one 3 months ago, I had a 6 line in the tank and he killed
him before I could get him out. I did not know 6 lines were so mean.
The 6 line jumped out of the tank while I was ironing and died.
My husband does not like my love for my fish or the price I pay for
them. kiki
