Will Hydroplanet T5 lighting work.....?

Hi,

Will Hydroplanet 2' 4 lamp t5 lighting work for a 24 gallon nano reef tank?

Just started this hobby and already have spent a lot of $$ and i'm trying to budget myself. Could this fixture be used with ATI bulbs?

yes and yes...
That fixture with ATI bulbs can certainly be used..

The only "real" difference is in the ballasts (programmable start vs rapid start).. Then you have potential differences in reflector "reflectivity", fan cooling and being aluminum vs steel,etc..
And some of the ATI's have built in timers/dimmable..

In general more expensive t5 fixtures like ATI use better ballasts (programmable start) which are better for bulb life but also are more expensive..
In general though the t5 fixture you posted will work just fine.. It just doesn't have the nicer ballast that a more expensive fixture will have and instead will have a rapid start ballast..

And there is no reason that a built in timer is better than one thats not built in other than simplicity/less wires,etc..

Well that is good news. This is just a setup for now, I will eventually buy an ati t5 lighting system. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.
