Will my RBTA move?

I just added a new RBTA to my tank which is powered by 8 t5s with parabolic reflectors. I placed it on the sand and stick itself to a rock.

The problem is that the rock is on the bottom most part of the reef, and the anemone is behind it very close to the sand, and from that angle it can´t be seen.

Will it move up by itself or its probable that it will stick in there?

This question is unanswerable.

If your RBTA is happy where it currently is, it will stay. If something is bothering it, it will move until it finds its happy spot.

If this is a newly introduced BTA, it "may" move soon. Give it time to adjust to its new home. Moving an anemone may cause stress. Just wait it out for now. It may be staying at the bottom because it is still acclimating to your lighting. What kind of lighting was it under previously? How big is your tank?

Well, really, you wouldn't want to bother it but if your looking for it to move so you could see it you could aim a power head at it for a while. You can also take a bag of ice and gently place it on the anemones food. These two methods work occasionally causing the anemone to move or let go of its foot hold.

Moving it will not stop it from moving to another undesireable place in the tank.

Exactly, moving it just might cause it to move to another place you don't particulary like. If you aquascarpe your tank right and position your PHs right, then you can kind of control where the anemone might happily stay but other than that, its up to the anemone of where it wants to stay.

well yes its newly introduced it might be aclimatating, I run 8x80watt t5 with parabolic reflectors on a 175 gal.

I mean, bubble tips don't tend to stay near the sand do they?

I have one that stays down low in the tank, on a rock, but near the sand.

what im thinking on doing if it doesnt move, is to put a rock covering the light on one side, so that it will move, will it work?. Is it a good idea?
